We are currently looking for tutors to travel to students’ homes in your neighborhood for one-on-one tutoring which involves clarifying and teaching subject matter, as well as assessing the student’s knowledge and skills on an ongoing basis. We are looking for tutors who care about the progress of our students and who can teach them to have a positive relationship with learning.

Tutor Doctor is looking for reliable, fully fluent individuals with a passion for education to join our team of phenomenal tutors in the Fraser Valley Region (Chilliwack, Abbotsford, Mission, Aldegrove, Langley, Surrey, White Rock).

What We're Looking For:

Elementary, Middle and Highschool level Instructors: grades K - 12 French Core

Elementary, Middle and Highschool level Instructors: grades K - 12 French Immersion


This is a part-time position. Unique to the Tutor Doctor, we give our tutors the right to choose which students they would like to tutor, as well as creating their own weekly schedule. Our team works to match a tutor with students based on personality, qualifications, quality / expertise, availability and location. Our goal is to make the perfect match. We provide our tutors orientation sessions, access to resources and ongoing support.

    Tutor Doctor selects tutors based on subject area expertise as well as personality and qualifications. This does not mean that we only hire teachers to be tutors, but we do require experience and extensive knowledge of the subject area they will teach. The beauty of what Tutor Doctor does is that we match tutors to each student based on learning style and personality. In order to appropriately match a tutor with a student, each tutor must undergo a detailed evaluation and interview that also includes a background check. 

    Hourly rate of $18-25 per hour based on qualifications and experience

    • Access to a reliable vehicle
    • Someone who is in (or has completed) at least 2 years of Canadian post-secondary education
    • The ability to travel to students' homes
    • Knowledge of teaching techniques and learning styles
    • Experience tutoring (formal or informal)
    • Coaching or mentoring is okay too!
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Reliable and professional
    • Valid BC Drivers License
