We are currently looking for tutors to travel to students’ homes in your neighborhood for one-on-one tutoring which involves clarifying and teaching subject matter, as well as assessing the student’s knowledge and skills on an ongoing basis. We are looking for tutors who care about the progress of our students and who can teach them to have a positive relationship with learning.

Tutor Doctor is seeking reliable individuals with a passion for education to join our team of professional tutors in the Fraser Valley Region (Chilliwack, Abbotsford, Mission, Aldegrove, Langley, Surrey, White Rock).

 Tutor Doctor works with several agencies, including ICBC, The Ministry of Children and Family Development, Autism Funding BC, Worksafe BC, and several children's aid societies.

What We're Looking For:

Special Needs Tutors with experience including FASD, ASD, ADHD etc...: grades K - 12 all subjects

Responsibilities and Duties:

This is a part-time position. Unique to Tutor Doctor, we empower our tutors to choose which students to accept and determine their own weekly schedule. Our team work to match a tutor with students based on personality, qualifications, subject/ grade expertise, availability, and location. Our goal is to make the perfect match. We offer an orientation, access to resources, and ongoing support.

Hourly rate of $18- $25 per hour based on qualifications and experience.

  • Someone who is in (or has completed) at least 2 years of Canadian post-secondary education
  • Knowledge of teaching techniques and learning styles
  • Tutoring experience (formal or informal) 
  • Coaching or mentoring is okay too!
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • Dependability and professionalism
  • Ability to travel to students' homes for in-home tutoring
  • Valid BC Drivers License
